Complexity economics gave the science: the economy as an evolving adaptive system, prosperity arising from cooperation at scale, and the verdict that no current paradigm delivers high living standards within planetary boundaries. Harmoniq arms that science into architecture, before the old paradigm completes its work.
Prelude
An idea conceived in the study arms itself, and discharges into the world with a force its author rarely lived to witness. We continue to underestimate the distance between study and deed, and the speed at which it is closed.
The complexity-economics tradition now stands at the far end of that fuse and confirms it burned. Only this time the armed ideas were economic — homo economicus, the single ledger, the externality, equilibrium — and the discharge is a meta-crisis rather than a war. The catastrophe is therefore an authored idea. It can be unchosen. It can only be answered by a better idea, armed into a different operating system.

The shared diagnosis
I · Paradigm failure
The closing synthesis of the EECS-IV literature is unsentimental. No paradigm now delivers high living standards for the many within planetary boundaries. This is a systems verdict, not a moral one. The instruments have been measured against their stated purpose and the gap is structural.
II · The cognitive bottleneck
A single person, holding a single set of bytes, cannot hold the system. It takes a civilisation to build a toaster, as Beinhocker and Hausmann remind us. Coordination, not cleverness, is the binding constraint on what civilisations can do.
III · Prosperity, reframed
Prosperity is a billion daily acts of multi-capital value creation. Most problems that look technical or political turn out to be coordination failures. Coordination capacity is therefore the asset the next economy must be able to issue, hold and deploy.
From Science to Substrate
The coherence of the current ontological stack is precisely why better memes alone cannot displace it. The new paradigm has to be operational infrastructure: values encoded as self-executing balance-sheet identities, not as exhortations to behave well. Only then does the discipline gain a substrate it can stand on.

Each stack is itself a complex adaptive system, and the four are coupled so that selection pressure flows across scales. The shared fitness function is multi-capital solvency at civilisational scale.

Sustainability asks that we do no harm. A syntropic civilisation asks more of us. The economy is the system we give ourselves to meet our needs and to coordinate resources fairly, including for those who come after.
Invitation
The missing thing is not another diagnosis. It is the proof that the new paradigm works in practice — that multi-capital flourishing can be selected for by the accounting itself, not merely advocated for at the margins.
